Award Summary Status
Once your file has been completed and reviewed, Florida Community College will award you with the best available financial aid package. You will receive an official College award letter explaining the financial aid package you are eligible to receive. If you wish to accept the package, you do not need to respond. However, if you wish to refuse or decrease a portion of your aid package, you must initial and return the letter to your campus enrollment services/financial aid office.
Complete the current year Florida Community College Student Aid Loan Application and list your lender of choice. First time borrowers must also complete an online entrance loan counseling session and an in-person debt management workshop. Once you are officially enrolled in classes, Florida Community College will transmit your loan request to the guarantee agency for approval. After approval, you will be notified to go online and complete the e-signature process via Connections (Artemis). You can also visit your campus enrollment services/financial aid office if you do not have online access. You must complete the preprinted MPN, and return it to the lender address indicated on the form. The lender will transmit funds electronically to the College’s banking institution. (Some lenders do not participate in transmitting funds electronically; choosing one of these institutions could delay receipt of your loan funds. The College will verify your eligibility, deduct outstanding educational fees and disburse remaining balance. You must be enrolled in at least six credits (or an equivalent of half-time hours) to receive a student loan.
