
International Students
Florida Community College has a proud history
of enrolling a diverse population of students from around the world.
We have members from dozens of countries, speaking more than 80
languages! If attending Florida Community College as an international
student sounds like a destination to you, then follow these steps
towards admission. You must submit:
- An application
for international admission as a degree-seeking student.
(This application is in PDF format and requires Adobe
Acrobat Reader, which is free to download.)
- An application fee of $80 (This is a non-refundable,
non-transferable processing fee.)
- Proof of previous education (English translation
and native language)
- Required TOEFL
(Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores:
On the paper test — 460 or higher,
On the computer test — 140 or higher, or
On the Internet-based test — 48 or higher.

- Certification
of financial responsibility, showing that you have the resources
for travel, tuition, books and living expenses while you're
in school. The official
certification of sources of funds and amounts form must
also be completed. (Both of these certificates are included in
the application for
international admission.)
If your sponsor is a U.S. citizen or U.S. legal permanent resident, the affidavit of
support must be completed. Please download and return with application.
NOTE: In order to begin attending Florida Community College in your desired semester, your application must be received by the deadline. You must be at least 17 years old on your first day of class. Students under the age of 18 must have local living arrangements with a guardian or relative approved by their parents prior to arrival. FCCJ does not provide on-campus housing.
International students are admitted with the
understanding that adequate finances are available during their
period of study in the United States. The support may be from
the individuals own sources or from sponsors in this country
or from abroad. In general, scholarships are not available to
international students.
The College may require, based on certain conditions
or circumstances within a country, that a predetermined amount
of money be on deposit in the United States to cover a students
expenses for one year.
