Adjunct Faculty Bio

James Troutman
Adjunct Faculty Member, Kent Campus

James Troutman is originally from Pennsylvania. He lived in Virginia, New Jersey and Maryland before relocating to Florida. “I moved to Jacksonville eight years ago. I was retired and had always wanted to teach.” In 2003, an opportunity came up at Florida Community College for Mr. Troutman to teach one of the first Jacksonville Early College High School classes at Kent Campus. “I enjoy teaching the students, especially the ones who have returned to school. I always try to give the students any help I can give. I really want to see them succeed.”

Mr. Troutman received an B.A. from Nova Southeastern University and an M.B.A. from Webster University. One of his hobbies is model trains.
