Motivation in the Workforce

Presenter: Joanna Scarboro

Program Description: Have you ever wondered, “How did she do that?”

Have you ever stood in awe at a man’s achievement and wondered “Where did he find the strength?”

Participants of this workshop will learn the secret … success lies inside themselves! Motivation is force, desire and strength within a man or woman that leads him/her to accomplish great things. Although we each have talents and skills that help us succeed, we must consider these characteristics coupled with motivation is what leads to extraordinary performance.

This workshop will help participants learn how to motivate themselves to perform. Participants will learn that when they motivate themselves they achieve amazing results which translates into both job and personal satisfaction and makes them an invaluable asset to the company and its bottom-line.

Course Objectives and Measurable Outcomes: Each participant will learn:

  • How motivation can help one achieve extraordinary results.
  • How motivation can lead to job satisfaction and happiness and to making an employee invaluable to their organization.
  • How to increase their motivation through:
    • Overcoming procrastination
    • Self-discipline
    • Time management
    • Self-leadership
    • Goal-setting techniques

Practical Application Exercises: This course will provide the opportunity for participants to embrace the learning objectives through:

  • Group exercises
  • Individual exercises
  • Development of action steps and commitments

Student Workshop Evaluation/Assessment of Learning: An evaluation will be given to all participants regarding the training outcomes and specifically how they will apply them.
