2008–09 Season Outlook

The Stars return one starter, guard Jamel Carpenter, as well as forward Jeremy Allen, and guards Jared Siedow and Alberto Dagobert. We will look for the freshmen class, led by former Georgia All–State players Marcos Knight, Alex Moorman and Jimmy Gaskins, to pick up the load. In state products, John Herrington (Oak Ridge High School in Orlando), Jean Louisme (Fort Myers High School) and Derrian Johnson (Blanche Ely High in Pompano Beach) will add depth for the Stars. Local products Chris Jordan (Paxon School of the Arts) and James Wesley (Jackson High School) round out the Stars 2008–09 roster. They will need to jell quickly in order to compete in the always competitive Mid–Florida Conference. If they can stay healthy, their depth and interior game may be enough to give the Stars their first winning season in four years.
