Dual Enrollment
Florida
Community College at Jacksonville offers high school students the opportunity
to receive simultaneously high school and college credits through the Dual Enrollment
Program. North Campus serves all high schools in Nassau County as well as First
Coast,Ribault, Raines, and Paxon High Schools. Earned college credits may be transferred
to any public university or college within the state and to most other public
and private schools. Students may take courses at any FCCJ campus or in classes
located at their high school. Students choosing to remain with FCCJ for their
AA or AS degree programs need not reapply - they are already FCCJ students!
There is no charge to qualifying dual
enrollment students fore tuition and fees. Students should speak with their counselors
about textbook costs. All students must pay the $15 Records Origination Fee to
receive their ID cards and have their college transcripts recorded.
To
become a dual enrollment student, students need to contact their high school counselor
and meet the following requirements:
- Be
enrolled in a school district, private school, or home school with an articulation
agreement with FCCJ
- Be a junior
or senior in high school
- Have a cumulative 3.0 weighted grade point
average (2.0 for vocational courses).Meet the required college entry scores on
the FCELPT, ACT, or SAT or, for vocational, the TABE
- Submit
the full application to the North Campus Dual Enrollment Coordinator with signatures
from parents, high school guidance counselor, and principal; a high school transcript;
and verification of test scores if other than FCELPT. Applications are submitted
through the school to the North Campus Dual Enrollment Office, D-310.

Early Admissions Program
High
school students who wish to enter Florida Community College at Jacksonville as
full-time Early Admissions students at the end of their junior year may be admitted.
At
FCCJ, students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for Early Admissions:
- Be a student from a school with an articulation agreement
with FCCJ
- Have
a cumulative weighted 3.25 grade point average for college credit or 2.5 for vocational
credit
- Submit the full application to the North Campus
Dual Enrollment Coordinator with signatures from parents, high school guidance
counselor,
- Submit full documentation to the North Campus
Dual Enrollment Coordinator: application with signatures from parents, high school
guidance counselor, principal; high school transcripts; verification of test scores
There
is no charge to Early Admissions students for tuition or lab fees. All students
must pay the $15 Records Origination Fee. Students should see their high school
counselors about textbook costs.
